Operational Funding

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern New Mexico has a vision of successful mentoring relationships for all children who need and want them, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities for all.
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with measurable impact. BBBS began operation in September 2001 with a service area of Chaves and Eddy counties and one office in Roswell. In July 2003, Lincoln County was added to the service area and an office was opened in Ruidoso. In July 2004, Curry, Roosevelt, Quay, DeBaca and Lea Counties were added to BBBS of Southeastern New Mexico service area with an office opened in Clovis. Growth over the five years has been tremendous from revenue streams to children served. In 2001, the BBBS annual operating budget was $45,000 and has grown to the current year operating budget of $384,000. They have grown from two counties to serving eight counties across Southeastern New Mexico and have gone from serving no children in 2001 to serving a total of 614 children in
