Jack chose Oklahoma State University for the Math department and through his grandparent’s suggestion. Once on campus he knew OSU was the place for him to get his education. He has been awarded the Kevin Harper Memorial Scholarship, the Robert C. Byrd Scholarship, and the Oklahoma State Regents Institutional Nominee scholarship to attend Oklahoma State University.
Jack is currently involved in the Presidents Honor Roll, President of Pi Mu Epsilon and President of St. Augustine Canterbury Association. His future goals include getting his Ph.D in statistics and become involved in various research projects. His parents have made the biggest difference in his life giving him the tools and support necessary to make it as far as he has. His teacher Dr. Lisa Mantini at OSU has also been instrumental in guiding him in his studies and allowing him to work on projects that will further his career.
Attending OSU has allowed him to interact with many people who share his interests and with others who have differing views on the world. In achieving his life goals Jack understands the importance of college and the time and effort needed to succeed. He also realizes his ability to manage himself is just as important as the things he’s learning in the classroom, and both lessons will help him greatly throughout his life.
The Chase Scholarship has been a blessing to his family, as his brother Ben and sister Meg also receive the Chase Scholarship. All being in college at the same time, the scholarship has eased the financial burden on his parents as well as allowing them to broaden their college choices.
