Her future goals include attending law school after graduation and practicing law as a career while settling down and starting a family. Her dad, Russell, has made the biggest difference in her life teaching her the importance of hard work ethic and persistence. He has always encouraged her to dream big, and to never stop short of achieving those dreams. She has always looked up to him for wisdom throughout the tough decisions in her life, and is very thankful for all the support he has given me. If it weren’t for both of her parents she wouldn’t have had the courage and ambition to go to a college so far away from home.
Attending Oklahoma State University has given Ashley the opportunity to participate in several philanthropy events since coming to college in which Oklahoma State strongly encourages all its students to become active in community service. Since coming to college she has become active in the Big Brother Big Sister program and volunteer at the Anglefire Equestrian center and Habit for Humanity. These programs have become a high priority in her life and have taught her the importance of serving others.
In achieving her goals in life Ashley knows the importance of obtaining a college degree in today’s society. Through her college experience she also knows the importance of good networking that will help her in her future job search.
The Chase Scholarship has given Ashley the opportunity to attend the college of her choice in Oklahoma State University and the scholarship has meant fewer worries on the financial impact of a college education on her family.
