Hobbies: I love playing golf, playing my trumpet, traveling, and of course hanging out with my friends.

Emily chose Eastern New Mexico University for their degree program in Biology and the opportunity to play in the ENMU band. She receives additional scholarships including music talent, private lesson waivers and biology undergraduate assistant. She is involved in the ENMU Game and Fish Wildlife Club, Kappa Kappa Psi, Animal Behavior Society, National Band Association, College Catholic Choir and is on the Dean’s Honor Roll

Her future goals include the possibility of attending graduate school and finding a position with Homeland security. People who have made a difference in her life are her parents who have equipped her with the morals and values making her the person she is today. Another special person has been Tom Dillon her high school band director. He instilled in Emily her love and appreciation for music and taught her to strive for excellence pushing her to the limits in being the best she could be. If it were not for this constant encouragement and determination for success she might not have gone to college. Through Mr. Dillon, Emily learned dedication, loyalty, trustworthiness, responsibility, respect, hard work, and discipline. Her world is a better place because of music and what she has learned from Mr. Dillon.

Living in Portales and attending ENMU has been a blessing and wonderful experience for Emily living in a supportive community laying the foundation for her future goals and realizing the importance of higher education and a college degree. Emily understands to succeed in college it takes hard work, dedication and perseverance to achieve success. ENMU is giving her the skills needed for her future career plans and teaching her valuable lessons that will be used throughout her life.

The Chase Scholarship has been a blessing for the Crowe family in helping pay for her education without going into substantial debt... The scholarship has enabled Emily to continue her education to achieve her goals and dreams.
